New TV Series ULTRAMAN BLAZAR’s Main Cast is Announced! Yuki Ito is the Brilliant Operation Strategist, Teruaki Nagura!

The new TV series, Ultraman Blazar, will start from July 8th 2023 JST! Every Friday at 5 PM JST, one of the main cast members starring alongside Captain Gento Hiruma, the protagonist played by Tomoya Warabino, will be announced.

Vice-captain Teruaki Nagura has excellent research and data analysis skills. He utilizes these skills as the operations strategist in the Special Kaiju Reaction Detachment, SKaRD. Yuki Ito, who kicked off his career in 2007 and has starred in a number of popular movies and TV series will be playing this role. Ito chose to pursue acting after he was inspired by his mentor from college who described acting as a rare profession that can move people. Since then, he has worked on many projects including playing leading roles in films and continues to work in a variety of fields from theater, music videos to commercials.

Teruaki Nagura (29 years old)

Teruaki is the vice-captain and operations strategist of the team, who excels in collecting and analyzing information using his extensive knowledge on Kaiju biology. He formulates strategies in operations for SKaRD, the Special Kaiju Reaction Detachment, led by Captain Gento. He formally was the Fire Support Coordinator for a General Unit and has also fought in the Bazanga Elimination Operation. In fact, it was his analytical and calm decision-making, strong conviction in his decisions, extensive knowledge of kaiju and intelligence that he proved he had in the operation that got him a position on SKaRD. He strongly believes in the importance of living harmoniously with Earth Kaiju while protecting humans. He is very disciplined, but can also act a bit out of it at times.

The Ultraman series has given me courage and has taught me about kindness, since I was a child. I’m truly grateful to be a part of this and it’s also very humbling as well.

Vice-captain Nagura Teruaki assists SKaRD behind-the-scenes and strongly believes that innocuous kaiju should not be eliminated. When I first read Teruaki’s profile, I found similarities between Teruaki and myself. I remember feeling like I was going to be a part of something really special.

The cast and staff are working hard on every scene and I’m already excited thinking about everyone watching it. Please look forward to it.
