PUREARTS ULTRAMAN VS. BLACK KING GRAND PRIZE WINNER ANNOUNCED

PUREARTS ULTRAMAN VS. BLACK KING GRAND PRIZE WINNER ANNOUNCED

Earlier this summer, at Anime Expo 2022, the Tsuburaya Productions and Iceberg Theory engaged in one of its most ambitious projects ever, Ultraman Rising—the staging of a massive, weekend-long combination ARG and contest, across the LA Convention Center!

Fans attended panels and pursued terrifying (and occasionally hilarious, and always charming) aliens across exhibit halls in the “Hunt for Dada” campaign. You can watch highlights from the epic Kaiju Invasion below.

Amazing prizes were promised to fans who tagged their expo social media posts with the #Dada and #AX2022 hashtags, and with the massive Grand Prize, the colossal PureArts Ultraman Vs. Black King ¼ Scale Exclusive Edition Statue signed by the directors of the smash hit anime ULTRAMAN currently streaming on Netflix.

Here is a glimpse of Shinji Aramaki and Kenji Kamiyama carefully signing the Ultraman portion of the statue during their visit to the Expo.

Well, that Grand Prize has found its home with a winner:

Jason Cressman

Jason Cressman managed to catch a snap of Alien Baltan and Dada and post to Twitter, where Iceberg Theory team members Corey Hughes and Rase Shelhart found it and verified it with Kristopher Anderson, General Manager of Ultraman Connection. Take one more look at this stunning beauty!

We’d like to thank Jason and all the other entrants in the competition. Prizes have been sent and some are still on the way, but for a BIG prize like this, we couldn’t resist showing off a few pictures of how COOL it is!

The Hunt for Dada may be over, but there’s still plenty of amazing stuff coming out every week from Ultraman Connection.

This includes the major arrival of Ultraman, Ultraseven, and friends at multiple events at New York Comic Con 2022. Check out the full itinerary here!
