Giant of Light to Appear at Marvel Entertainment Booth, Tamashii Nations & Viz Events, Exclusive Shin Ultraman Theatrical Screening Courtesy of Tsuburaya Productions
The iconic global superhero Ultraman and his brother hero Ultraseven will appear in person across multiple events in and around the massive New York Comic Con, October 6 - 9, 2022. Expected attendance at the convention is more than 250,000 people.
Tsuburaya Productions will be bringing Ultraman, Ultraseven, and other live characters and presenting them at the Marvel Entertainment booth, where news on the Ultraman X Marvel super hero crossover comic book series will be announced by creators, writer Kyle Higgins and artist Francesco Manna.
Japanese artists Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi, creators of the ULTRAMAN: Final Season anime (to be distributed worldwide on Netflix) and who contributed to the latest Marvel series Ultraman: The Mystery of Ultraseven, will also appear on the panel.
Ultraman will also appear at the release of an event exclusive Tamashii Nations The Rise of Ultraman S.H. Figuarts ULTRAMAN high end collectible action figure based on the Marvel Comics version of the silver and red giant.
On Saturday, October 8 at 7pm, Tsuburaya Productions will also be presenting an exclusive New York screening of Shin Ultraman, the recent blockbuster theatrical feature directed by Shinji Higuchi.
The film will unspool at the AMC 34th Street 14 near Madison Square Garden. The film is not yet in general release in the United States marking this as a unique occasion for fans of Japanese cinema to catch this contemporary giant monster masterpiece.
Tickets for Shin Ultraman have been offered to New York area members of Ultraman Connection and will be given away free of charge at the Marvel panel, the Ultraman Connection Live panel, and Ultraman Meet & Greet at the Tamashii Nations booth. (See details below.)
