ULTRAMAN TRIGGER EPISODE Z SPECIAL COMES TO ULTRAMAN CONNECTION ON MARCH 18

Tsuburaya Productions is excited to announce that Ultraman Trigger Episode Z, a special sequel to the Ultraman Trigger: New Generation Tiga series is coming exclusively to Ultraman Connection on March 18, 2022, at 9pm EST / 6pm PST.

The special will stream as a part of an exclusive program coming to Ultraman Connection, which will celebrate both Ultraman Trigger and the powerful fan favorite Ultraman Z (Zett)!

Attendees will get not only the special showing here, but also get access to a special VOD that will be watchable on personal time later, for $11.99. Tickets are on sale now for the Video on Demand by itself for $4.99 here.

Also, to celebrate this massive event, the Ultraman Trigger Episode Z special program will include a commentary talk show about the special, featuring a number of the actors!

Raiga Terasaka (Kengo Manaka/Ultraman Trigger)

Terasaka-san is one of the headliners, and the eponymous character of Episode Z, portraying Kengo Manaka. As his grand adventure comes to a well-deserved climax in the special, we’ll hear his thoughts on his time as an Ultraman, and what Trigger and Episode Z mean to him.

Runa Toyoda (Yuna Shizuma/Yuzare)

Responsible for the dual roles of GUTS-Select member Yuna Shizuma and Yuzare, Ultraman Connection viewers have had the pleasure of meeting Toyoda-san before at the Ultraman Connection Holiday Special. Now that the main run of Trigger has ended, we’ll catch up with her again, and learn more of Yuna and Yuzare’s secrets!

Kohshu Hirano (Haruki Natsukawa/Ultraman Z)

It’s been some time since Hirano-san received universal acclaim for his role as Haruki Natsukawa in the Seiun Award-winning Ultraman Z. Having returned once to make a big splash in Ultraman Trigger, the time has come for Hirano-san to talk about his time as a defender of humanity, and what he thinks is next for Haruki.

Tickets are on sale now for both the special show and the VOD for personal viewing for $11.99 here.

At the end of the Trigger series, we bade a tearful farewell to Kengo Manaka, the incarnation of light, and his allies in GUTS-Select. As Ultraman Trigger, Kengo seemed to sacrifice himself to contain the Eternity Core. The story seemed over.

Well, not quite!

Ultraman Trigger Episode Z will have simultaneous premieres in Japan (on the Tsuburaya Imagination streaming service) and right here for the rest of the world on Ultraman Connection. This story acts as an epilogue, set two years after the events of Trigger’s final battle against Megalothor, and will answer mysteries left in the wake of that struggle. We can’t say what brings Kengo back, or why Ultraman Z is once again fighting the forces of evil alongside Trigger.

Under most circumstances, global fans might have to wait months or years to see this story come to its long-awaited conclusion. However, with the rise of Ultraman in North America and around the world, things are changing! As announced by Sean Nichols during the Ultraman Connection Live Presents: ULTRAMAN OFFICIAL YouTube 2 Million Subscribers Celebration, tickets are now on sale for the special right here on Ultraman Connection!

More details will be revealed about the event as we approach this massive day. Until then, why not prepare for the big event by catching upon all 25 episodes of Ultraman Trigger: New Generation Tiga, ad-free, on Ultraman Connection?
